Lisbon

Lisbon is just like London. There is so much to do in Lisbon. The locals call it Lisboa. There was a photo exhibit with an aerial view of the earth, taken by a Japanese photographer. He flew an airplane and took a lot of great shots. The idea? Keep the earth beautiful. I wish I had more time to see all that even though I saw some of those when I was in Oslo 2 years ago. Besides the exhibit, we had a chance to see the famous monastery with the incredible Manueline cloister. I could not imagine anybody would pay that much attention even on a pillar. Every carving with such detail was totally impressive and it was so amazing that we spent 3 hours there and were reluctant to leave such a beautiful place. Then we headed for the famous pastry of Belem. Delicious was not even a good word for it...the creamy custard topped with cinnamon and sugar was heaven. I didn't have just one. I had four of them and washed them down with a glass of warm galao, which has 3/4 milk and 1/4 coffee. Besides the pastry indulgence, the aquarium of Lisbon, the Oceanario, has an amazing collection of sea life and it was once again so grand that we spent way too much time there. Penguins were showing off and the sea otters were being fed when we were watching them. The place shows how and where those sea creatures live in different parts of the world. The whole collection is just simply amazing!!! I enjoyed Lisbon so much that I know I will definitely go back.
